    Be Real

I have always said that in the end, your true character will seep out, people will know who you really are, if you pose, they will see it, if you are authentic, they will see that too. I don't give a **** about how "wierd" or "different" you may be percieved...

    I Second That, Flicksy....

Real eyes realize real lies… So very clever, so very true. On the come up, we try on different personalities and what not, hanging with this clique and running with that one; but eventually, hopefully, WE emerge from all these differing types of life… maybe...

    I Am A Genuine Person....

If I talk to you and am friendly and kind it is all genuine. I am not a fake person or friend and am proud of this. I hate fake people and find that there are too many of them around. It makes it hard to know who to trust. I don't want to become one of those people.

    Ticky Tacky Fake Girl

Tripping on your cheap high heels, chipped nail polish on your toes. Putting on air maxes and polos, you got nada to prove, your ’tude says it all. Bling glitters in the light, rusts in the water. Dropping names double time like the Cheshire Cat, on acid. Your...

    I Can't

I can't be fake for anyone. I spent so much of my life, acting fake for others, actling like everything was fine, when it wasn't. I just can't, and I won't be fake for anyone anymore. I will be me, because that is all I know how to be.

    I Can Only Be Me

I cannot imagine myself being anyone else!  There are so many things that I do like about myself and .... there are things that I do not .... but I am me for the good and the bad.  I can try to turn the bad into good, and I can attempt to make the good better, but...

    Below the Surface

It's a wild thunderstorm. It's a CAT 5 hurricane. It's all the boiling cauldrons of Hell battling it out with the Lake of Fire. It's the sentiment of Jewry against the Nazis. It's the collective anger of 1950's era black people in America. It's the radical Islamic element's...

    It Ain't Easy, Either.

It's only difficult if I find myself in the presence of superiors, and usually in the workplace. With my co-workers, I'm like, "Eff this" and "Eff that", but with the big bosses I assume a much more intellectual persona and manner of speaking- because I believe it's what's...

    Don't Ask Me

Don't ever ask me to be something I'm not. Because I am never going to change who I am for anyone. I have dealt with way too many fake people in my life, and I would hate for people to have to deal with me if I was that way. I am eccentric. A lot of people call me a freak. But I...

    Fake

I go to an all girls' school, so obviously I'm surrounded by girls being fake. Girls pretending to like eachother then going to gossip about eachother, girls dying their skin ridiculous shades of orange just so they don't look pale (God forbid someone should be lighter than a...

    Sorry, I Am All Real

I tried to be phony before, just to please my former in-laws and you know what? It was nothing but a waste of time and made me feel gross afterward. I didn't even recognize myself and it made me uncomfortable. Eventually i decided that i was me like me or leave me, i was not...

    EVER

The older I get, the less patience I have for fakery. I went out with my man this past Saturday- he was in need of some company, as he had to vacate his living quarters for the eve. He says to me, "Let's go out. Have drinks. Get ****** up." I says, "I'd like...
