Not Where I Thought I'd Be

I started out trying to be a reporter. Went to school for it, even did a few reporting gigs, knowing full well all along this isn't where my creativity lies. (One could argue no one's creativity would want to travel that path, but that's neither here nor there.) After all the...

I am sure life would be

so much better; knowing what to do and what not to. For instance, I would know what classes to take and what not to. To say the least, stopping all the bad that occurred in my life (primarily my accident).

    I Do

With quite a few years under the belt, I wish I could go back and start again knowing what I do now. I have learned a lot of valuable lessons over the years the hard way. I guess the most important thing is that I learnt from my mistakes although some have come at too much of a...

Listen to the song The Road's Still Long by the

legends Cinderella. Like any arrogant teenager, I thought that my rich life skills meant I knew it all. But looking back, I realise now that I didn't. Each new day, event and experience throughout life creates a new synapse and strand in the web of knowledge. But parenthood is...

I know it's crazy to wish

for this, but I have thought many times that it would be great to be able to go back to my teenage years and know what I know now!

Oh how my life would certainly be different.

.. If only I could roll back the clock to 2008- I'd change a hell of a lot of things that's for sure.

This is referring to failed friendships,

relationships and associations. I'm glad I experienced them; they showed me things about myself I didn't know or revealed things that I had been running from and couldn't anymore. Thanks, life - apparently you are good for something. So, as I heard once and can't remember, or...

    Shame On Me

I am a firm believer in the saying "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." It's probably one of my favourites. Why do we always feel that moment of weakness...that sense that we should let that certain person who destroyed our happiness back into our lives just...

    If I wake up tomorrow,

as a child, and remembered all of this, I would be happier. I wouldn't take outside situations so personal, I would just live and be happy.
