I Wish My Parents Were Less Overprotective

    My parents finally did it.

A few days ago, Thursday, my parents finally took my bedroom door off it's hinges. They did it because I wanted to send my very close and very dear best friend, who is a female, a Valentines gift as a friend. I met her online on a social media app, and even dated her at one...

I know many kids have it a lot worse

than me, and my parents are otherwise very supportive and awesome, but darn it, sometimes it feels like they forgot I'm older than 10. I'm not allowed to watch Iron Man 3 anymore because the villain 'says some really horrible things'. Deadpool must be evil because he has 'dead...

I'm 22 now so i guess it should be would have

been for me. However, growing up my dad didn't let me use knives and they cut my food for me. Now as an adult on my own I have trouble with cutting chicken or steak. I will do it, but it takes forever so my bf helps me. I can peel stuff though. :)

There should be more publicly boosted articles

and news stories about how harmful overprotective parents are to a child's mental health. I have contemplated Scuicide many times, but fortunately I was too scared to do it. I feel like a prisoner. Phone calls to friends are whispered in hoarse voices in my room so parents don't...

    Going Out???

My mom didn't let me get my driver's license until two weeks before I graduated from high school. She let me use an old truck to drive there for those two weeks. I just started college, and somehow I managed to convince my mother to let me live on campus. However, she didn't...

    My parents are completely insane

when it comes to me dating someone and having feelings for another person. They make it seem like I'm incapable of loving someone, like I'm too young & stupid & naive. They don't take my emotions seriously & they're huge believers in "no one is good enough for my daughter". I...

in some cases, mostly like when it comes to illnesses, my mom can go with me to doctors (also only some, but to whatever doctor i go she asks me what they told me and reads on the internet if it's good) and the wrost thing is that I am not really mature in some questions and not...
