I Wish to See Stonehenge

    30 Million Hours of Labor

    That's the estimated hours it took to build it, in three phases.It must be striking. Human sacrifice or astronomy?  I don't know for sure . Anyone out there who can describe the stones and their size?  I am curious if it seems huge.

    Have Been Close

    Been There

    I have been there many a time, the first when i was a young boy about 7 yrs old then the access was easy because it was not fenced off,every year we went on holiday to Cornwall we stiopped off there for a wonder around in those days i did`nt really understand what the stones were...

    An Exception to My Attitude Toward Scenery

    Ordinarily, scenery can fascinate me for up to 15 seconds--usually less. But Stonehenge isn't scenery; it's a PLACE.

    I Guess I Must Be Lucky!

    I live about 10 minutes away from Stonehenge, and I see it a lot. It is a wonderful fascinating place, I just wish there were fewer people there! I often wander down in the evening to photograph it. Jo xxx
