    Update

I hear that Modesty is now working as a lap dancer and Humility has his own chat show.

I Am Wondering About That Too.

Our societies has lost modesty and humility in some ways. I hope we can get some of modesty and humility back.

    Seriously!

Granted, I kind of sleepwalked through a few years, but when did it become okay to walk around "dressed" in skirts and tops that leave almost nothing to the imagination?  My roomie #1 almost always dresses in things that are skin-tight, low cut on top and high cut on the bottom...

I Need to Be More Modest

I'm not really at all a modest person. I'd like to work on this though, so as to be more approachable and not come off as an *******. Any advice would be most appreciated.

    Oh, Society!

What have you done to us? You want to know why people treat you like a piece of meat? Because you dress like one, act like one, and in a sense treat yourself as one. If you don't want the stares and comments, all you need to have is some self respect and humility.

    Responsibility

Right up there with racism and people who only say "yep" after you thank them, I also peeve with arrogant people who cant apologize when they are inconsiderate or just rude. They usually shift the blame back on you if you dislike it because you are "too sensitive", "insecure" or...

    Teenagers + Modesty = ????

Honestly, the things I hear on a day to day basis. The boyfriend of one of the girls I'm kind of friends with talking to another girl I used to be friends with in art today, telling her about having sex in his parents bedroom while they were in the room asleep. Hearing kids 17...

    I'm Quite Immodest, Of Dress!

I never noticed its passing. Humility died in the early fifties. When rock n roll was first heard. Immodesty is ok, if you're careful. Better if you're not!

I Was Taught As A Little Girl

One of the things I learned as a little girl was, "You don't take credit for something you did if you're asking for it outright. Nobody wants false praise." The same reasoning should be applied to modesty and humility. Nobody likes a braggart, as you've no doubt discovered. I...

    Church Dress

This is a bugbear of mine, but I feel modesty and humility are most needed when at church. For women bare legs, bare arms, pants, trousers shorts are not acceptable. A dress or modest length skirt..amd tights or pantyhose must always be worn regardless of the circumstances. ...

    COME On, People!

I see people wearing flip-flops in church, especially the altar servers. I think this should not be permitted. I see women who brightly paint their toenails and wear expensive, jewelled, so-called dressy sandals into church and I think this should not be permitted. I see people...
