    New At Graveyard

By the end of March I will be starting my new job as a nurse on the graveyard shift. I intend to love it, since I have no choice. I ONLY want to hear positives from people: Suggestions on how to keep myself on the same schedule on my days off. (since I have no kids at home this...

    I Really Hate It When

People who know you sleep during the day wake you up for stupid things. If I woke them up at 2 or 3 in the morning to ask them the same stuff they'd be pissed. I hate when they call and wake you up when you answer they say "oh, were you sleeping??" or "are you STILL in bed...

    Night Nurse

I love working the night shift 7P-7A for the same reasons that are already mentioned. NO D.O.N. on your back. And the family members are not there asking you questions that they"forgot" to ask the doctor who was just in the room . I love it

It Has It's Good Points and Bad Points

i've been on the night shift for almost 15 years and, like most everything, it has it's pluses and minuses. on the plus side, it's quiet, more stress free and i avoid alot of the office politics that goes on in the workplace, which is a big plus to me. on the downside, i don't...

    I Asked For This Shift...

I work 11-7:30 in a casino vault. I could not imagine working any other shift. Granted, I should probably be asleep right now (2:23 in the afternoon), but I know I can make it through the night. I love the people who work graves with me. I think it takes a particular kind of...

    New To The Night Shift

I'm currently a full time student and a full time employee, so that puts me in a bit of a pickle no matter what type of job I try to have. But the night shift is the only one that works with my schedule. Unfortunately, I have lost the social aspect of being a 20 year old in lieu...

It's hard when you try to sleep in the morning

and they wake you up to search for stuffs, to help with chores, or to just ask questions. Sometimes it also bothers me when they keep on waking me up in order for me to eat breakfast and lunch. I don't need food..I need sleep. leave me alone. lol :D

I've always worked for myself.  In the course of running businesses, I've worked nights, weekends, holidays, you know whatever it takes to get the job done. And, yes, I've pulled many all-nighters.

I have been working as a night auditor at a hotel at the base of a ski area since the end of the summer. I like the job because there's almost no actual work to do and my boss doesn't care how I spend my down time as long as I'm sober and awake. I work most of my shifts wearing...
