The Night Shift - Some Good, Some Bad

I work the night shift (22.30-08.00) in a public hospital every second weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun). On the positive side, it pays better (penalty rates) and means you don't have to spend as much of your time working to earn a decent income. I also love the quietness and calm...

I work night shift. 12 hour nights.

7pm to 7am. Its nice to work at my own pace and to be on when its quieter but i hate that ive been forced into this schedule by illness. I have to struggle through the shift knowing i wouldnt cope on days. I feel like a burden and that im useless.

I'm never gonna leave it unless I strike it rich! I love my job and the people who I work with, meet and there's never a night without tons of laughter. I've been proposed to, ran after, stalked around the work place, I've seen life, saved lives and touches the hands of death...

I love the night shift. The fewer people I have to deal with, the better. There are only four of us on duty at nights (hospital) and sometimes that's three too many ;P
