    So Peaceful

I used to walk my dog everyday to the park. Let her off the leash to run around. And I would just sit there on the park bench for hours. Just taking in the surroundings. Breathing fresh air. And being alone to collect my thoughts. It's such a nice feeling.

    In The Woods At Dawn

One of my favorite times is when I get up before dawn and head out to a good high point on the trail and sit there until sunrise, no people no cars, just the birds and other critters. Getting there early I often can get quite close the deer that are there. If you are quiet...

I have always loved nature.  Each weekend, before moving to the city, I would travel to one of the nearby forest parks and enjoy walking among the paths sheltered and greeted by trees. The scents and the sounds, particularly after a rainfall, the sound of the birds...

There are two reasons why I prefer the woods to shopping. 1.) I get bored easily in the shops and 2.) The shop people think I'm a teenage terrorist or something. I'm serous, they give me odd looks and sometimes follow me around the shop to make sure I don't nick anything or do...

I'd Rather Be Doing Practically Anything Else...

I actually prefer cleaning and chores and staying home to any kind of shopping. I am definitely more interested in practically anything else over shopping. That is probably the biggest reason I do without certain things until I absolutely have to go shop for something and then it...

    Where Are the Woods Again?

I rather be wandering anywhere, just not only the woods, anything than wandering the shopping centers and markets! XD I don't like shopping at all. I shop because I HAVE TO, but I try to do it as quickly as possible. No, I don't want to stop and look at the things. No, I...

    Natural Settings

Rude people who are rushing to get some where no matter if I'm in the way, Absent minded people who suddenly stop in front of me and upset that I bumped into them. CROWDS! Babies crying, people yelling. Recircled air, cold, fake. I HATE shopping! The air is cleaner damp and cool...

    Ain't a Materialist

I don't shop a whole lot. When I do, I usually know what I'm shopping for and go right for it and then home. I know that's really strange for a girl but my mind is on other things, not whether I have a pair of flare legged purple denims or such.

    Found A Hideaway.

Some people may hit the stores, seek out friends, or do a little of both. This has never been my thing.  I only ever enter a store with what it is I need in my mind, get it and get out.I have never been a listless, or pointless shopper.I don't have the patience or interest to...

I am not the only one who dislikes shopping.I cant understand people who want to wander around shops for hours on end.I race around the supermarket, and only go into the city when i need to......life is to short to spend the majority of it shopping.

    The Silence Is Beautiful,

and I love any forest that has deep streams. All I need is a small picnic lunch, a dog, and binoculars. Can't find me now! :)

Yes to wander among the trees.

listen to the chattering squirrels, or twittering birds. smelling the earthy smells around me, like old pines and damp dirt. seeing the sun dancing in the leaves as the light filters down to softly touch my skin. feeling the soft breeze lift and play lightly with my hair. oh yes...

I Can Spend Days Doing Really Nothing

I can stay in the woods without nessasarily needing to be doing anything at all. Unless there's something on my mind that i want to do. Wandering is ok though, I do like to wander quite often, even if there is something I should be doing. Sometimes I wander in the woods to...

    The Wicked American Consumer

The Wicked American Consumer In all the world there is nothing as foul and as vicious as the wicked American consumer. Brutal and often unkind, they get some kind of sick pleasure in making some poor store clerks day a living hell. Their greatest joy comes from making a store...

    Nature Rules!

I feel very fortunate to have had a grandfather that was a forester. He didn't just cut down trees to make money, he loved the woods. He had a deep appreciation for sustaining the woodlands. He made me go walking with him in the woods when I was really young, and of course I didn...
