I Would Rather Read a Book Than Watch Television

    Imaginative Book Reading.

I can do both but prefer to read whilst watching television, it's just background noise, but reading is much more satisfying to me. Books can be more involving while television is just to be watched, I prefer to use my imagination than my eyes.

We Don't Even Have a Television

When I moved in with Kris I agreed to give up television for a year.  Kris totally hates tv and asked if I would be willing to give it up for a year.  I figured, like, why not?  Sure... I also figured that if it got too tough to live without the box that...

    I Don't Watch Much Television...

I don't watch much television, but I do read a lot. I Love to read, and spend a good part of my days reading. When I am laying in bed, at night, and I can't seem to fall alseep, even though the tv is on, I turn to my book that I am currently reading, and read that. I am just...

    Tv Bores Me

Unless its Dr G, Paranormal State, Or Law and Order, I don't really watch TV very much. I love books. You don't have to go by the TVs schedule, you can just run to the library, find a book you like, and enjoy the story.

    Its Just More Personal.

I'd take reading a book over watching a TV show any day. Its just more personal. While reading a book you see the people as you imagine they look. You hear them say things the way you think they would. Watching TV takes all that away and hinders your imagination. Go pick up a...

    But Sometimes...

Its worth watching.  I enjoy natural history programmes and the current BBC series The Human Planet has been fascinating.  Filmed all over the world its about how people live in different envionments.  Desert, Arctic, Forest and Jungle are the episodes I have seen.

    Those Moments...

That moment when you have the sudden urge to just drop everything and read a book has over come me many times before. I wish I could do it on a daily bases...sometimes just because I'm bored other times so I can escape a situation or problem into a completely different world...

    Yes, I Am a Geek....lol

I find that a lot of times my imagination is so much better than the TV at entertaining me. lol. A really well written romantic suspense, or a mystery just makes my mouth water with glee. I adore books, sadly I can't afford to buy them anymore & the closest library is over an...

    Non-fiction

I'm really not into fiction at all so what little TV I do watch is on the Discovery Channel or the History channel usually. And non-fiction books can go into way more detail than a TV program anyway so I'd much rather spend a fun hours with a book than an hour learning a quarter...
