I Wrote A Short Story

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 98 People

    I finally finished one,

but then, guess what happened? I lost the final draft when my old laptop crashed and went bye bye. I have also misplaced the notebook (paper, spiral, etc) I wrote the first draft on. I am fairly certain it is in one of tens of boxes, still packed up, from when I moved two years...

I Just Wrote A Short Story And I'd Like For You To Read It.

I once heard a story long time ago. The story unfolded like a flower blossoms and a branch grows its leafs. It was highly unexpected when it first started and as the end drew near I had blossomed just like a flower, a butterfly or even a tree. I once heard a story and it sounded...

I hope you all like it. "her name was lily, she was name after her mother" he said as he looked at the therapist, his eyes were filled with desperation, his movements were sharp and edgy. "Mr Lee, please... tell me what happened to your daughter again". "why?! I've told you...

I was told the other day

that I needed to find jesus. This made me fantasize about how our conversation would be; here it is: I met Jesus near a well today. He had long hair and quite a thick beard. I asked him, “So is the water any good?” He said, “In caring hands it always is.” I said...

    Tell me what you think.

I feel nothing. I feel everything.

(a short story) -- I try to shower but all I do is stand there, unable to feel the water beat against my skin. I hear it fall against the grill, a sound so far. Steam fills the tiny room. Impulse has me reach out. I see my hand touch the thin plastic wall where a mist has...

    They walked through the crowd,

which was once so loud, that threw insolent stares and glares here and there. They just kept on walking down the pavement to catch the train, with a restrained laugh trapped in their lungs. As they stepped foot on the train their authoritative expressions sent people dashing to...

I'm proud that I did a good job on this one.

I like the consise statements and word choice. The plot doesn't have a stray either! It's not normal to have something so petite so it was really enjoyable. Short shorts are now my favorite writing outlet!

He stood there amidst the dark city,

leaning against the glass building as rain softly pelted the black hellish armor he wore. Staring into the celestial abyss of space, contemplating the hundred or so years he has spent protecting the innocent, all while losing himself slowly and slowly. In his hand he clutched...

Misguided Quest Who would've thought I could

change the world? What about the parrot? Yes, I admit it-the world we now live in is my fault...though the parrot isn't without blame either. It has been 3 1/2 months since my birthday. For my present, I had gotten a parrot. Yes, a parrot. You know those little winged beasts...
