I asked her why and she told me to turn on the news. I turned on the news just as the second plane impacted with the World Trade Center. I got up and got in my uniform and headed to work without even bothering to wait thfor them to call me to come in. I then spent the day basically doing crowd control and trying to keep terrified traveller calm. I would like to think that the efforts of my co-workers and I made that day just a little less stressful and terrifying for those people. I will never forget that day.
