Morning Shower

I was getting ready to go to work at Walmart. I was in the shower when I heard the news. I hurried up finished grabbed my towel and ran to my tv room and saw the second plane hit. I was floored. I continued to watch the news as I got ready for work. On my drive to work I got a call from my room mate. He told me the Pentagon was just hit. I knew I was going to be in for a long day (was and am a member of the US Military).

While at work I carried my cell phone (back then we weren't allowed to). Everytime my phone rang my heart pounded. I was expecting to hear I was being called up to active duty. It wasn't for a few moths later when I was deployed for the first time.

Here it is 11 years later and I have gone on 6 deployments. My last one being in 2010-2011.
