I am the proud wife of a Union pipe welder and fitter. It seems to me that people are forgeting that the Union is what helped to build this country. It is American workers that are getting the short end of the stick. The Union was created so that would not happen. Now in America we are buying the cheapest products we can get. I can understand that because I am a person who wants to get the best deal I can. I have always been that way but when I met and married my husband he helped me see that cheap products are just that cheap and if you want quality you may have to pay for it. Now with gas topping 4 dollars a gal. for most people cheaper is better. But we need to remember that buying American is buying form people who live in this country and put money back into this country. When we buy from other countrys that does nothing for our country. And don't we all live here and most of use say we are proud to be Americans and we are proud of our country. If you say these things and then buy nonAmerican just because you can save a few cents then are you telling the truth? Are you really proud of your country? I don't think so. We say in our pledge we are united but when you don't care about your fellow Americans who work hard to help this country and just want quality pay for quality work which is what the Union wants for its members then are we really proud of our country? America how can we be united if we think its okay to take work from Americans and give it to others countries? Well, I don't think its okay. My husband works hard to support our family and I am thankful for the Union and its quality work. I am also thankful for all you Americans who buy American and help to support my family and our country. In closing I would like to say yes, I know that we can't buy all American for everything but the next time you go to buy a car or anything that could made by the Union you think about these words and choose to support our country even if it may cost just a little more the quality in the product will be worth it and you can know you are supporting your country. Be proud of that America?
