I am so sorry. I have forgotten about this blog and yet a dear member has been so kind to remind me with her thoughtful comments. Isn't it funny that we write and may not be expecting anyone to read it? As a "wannabe" writer, I find it amazing that anyone other than myself would really care to read what I think and feel. However, when I reread some of my blog entries I find that they are quite insightful and have a large spectrum of feelings and thoughts; quite surprisingly coming from my mind.Blogging really should be considered an art and practice of discipline, it is for my writing as well as a great JOY to me. Like music or painting, the tools needed to create the beauty are purely eleme… [more]

  • Sunshine does a soul wonders...(slightly sad, loss of parent)

    Posted on: February 20th, 2012 at 10:35PM

I live in one of the GRAYEST states apart from the state of Washington which I hear is cloudy and rainy most of the time. Lately, the sun has been shining, the skies have been blue and cloudless and the weather has been near 50 degrees. I have been walking my dog more and enjoying watching the daffodils peeping their green stems above the still nearly frozen ground. We met again the very next day. This past year of being with him has been as hard as it has been wonderful. I had many changes in my life that brought sorrow, my mom passed away in September...and then there were the joyful times of getting a new English Mastiff puppy as an addition to our family. This Valentine's Day is what I call "a whole hearted" Valentine's Day… [more]

  • Another Monday; oh I mean ANOTHER Monday!!!!

    Posted on: April 9th, 2012 at 7:55AM

Truthfully, Mondays are pretty nice for me as I do not work outside the home, I have "no weekend to end" per se. After I take my son to school, the morning is mine, all mine...Our puppy, all six months and over 105 lbs of him (English Mastiff) LOVES to go along with us for the car ride. We return home where he usually heads for a nap on the sectional in the family room; he is so cute, I just want to get up from my desk and give him a hug but I don't want to disturb him.My laptop is sitting facing the fenced in backyard. There are no day lilies up yet; just green grass and evergreen trees. I like facing East into the sunrise; hearing the birds and relaxing while I hear the puppy breathing dee… [more]
