    when you say "crank" do you mean physically turn over or firing? If you can get it to turn over it could be the glow plugs or a compression problem.......you really shouldnt put gasoline into it cause it will pre-detonate in the cylinder.

    that was only on old diesels.....the modern diesel engine fuel pump will self prime.
