I'm all for school sports, but $50,000,000 for a high school football stadium? In a state that ranks 45th in student SAT scores and 43rd in per pupil spending (adjusted for local costs)?

In the end, aren't they really showing us what they value most. Looks to me like education might be much further down the list than sports.

This is the state whose governor threatened to secede from the union last year and that just executed a man with a 61 IQ. Texas is as large as most third world countries and sometimes it just takes forever to take the third world out of the state.

I grew up with football, my father was a hish school coach with a reputation that got him coaching offers from universities and the Miami Dolphins, but he was also an educator and would have considered this insane.
