The pacific "ring of fire" region has 80% of all earthquakes and 90% of all the worst earthquakes on earth. Over the last half century the severity of the earthquakes have gotten much worse with some speculating the melting of glaciers and tundra due to global warming is releasing long pent up pressures. Recent evidence also seems to indicate that earthquakes in one place can trigger others thousands of miles away.

As far as global warming goes. See below. The ring of fire is a crazy tectonic place though isn't it? .http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2217286/Global-warming-stopped-16-years-ago-reveals-Met-Office-report-quietly-released--chart-prove-it.html#ixzz29E78OR9H

LOL, I'll wait for the scientific consensus on that one. There have been so many discredited studies on global warming funded by oil companies and others there is no way I'll take the word of just two scientists.
