'80's' Hair Metal Bands'. Who were some of you favs?

Not enough, though if GNR counts they have been a major influence on me.

I can't really claim to big fan of the Hair Metal Era, I much preferred the bands from 60s and early 70s.

But here are my favs.

1) Def Leppard - Pyromania was my favorite album for a long time. Hysteria 4 years later was likewise a great album.

2) Van Halen - I dont know if I can classify them as Hair Metal of the 80s as they came out in 78. But the 1980 release of Women and Children First rocks.

3) Guns and Roses - Appetite for Destruction in 87 was phenomenal. Too bad Axl f'd everything up and that self destructed in the early 90s. Would have been amazing to see what they could have done.

4) Bon Jovi -- growing up in NJ, it was the law to be their fan. Slippery When Wet was a great tour, wow I am old.

5) Judas Priest - Cant claim to be a huge fan of theirs, but they had some really rocking tunes. And British Steel remains one of my favorite metal albums.

Winger has to be one of the best if not the top. Seventeen is a great song. Of course, the older I get, the more inappropriate is gets to listen to.

What are hair bands?

Alice cooper! Had all of his albums. Still love his music!

GNR for sure, along with Metallica. but my all time fav was Skid Row. Sabastian Bach still rocks! but let's not forget Bon Jovi...
