# A dress that normally sells for \$129 is on sale for 20% off the normal price. What is the sale price of the dress?

You convert 20% to 0.2 and times it with 129 = 25.8? is that right?

20/ 100 = 0.2

0.2 x 129 = 25.8

i forgot to subtract 129 - 25.8 = 103.20

25.8 is what you deduct from the price of \$129. (\$103.2)
[When finding a sale price I prefer to skip a step by multiplying the price by the percantage I will actually pay~ 129 • .8 = 103.2

10% of 129 is 12.9
Double that is 25.8
129 - 25.8 = 103.2

10% of 129 is 12.90. Double that for 20%, which would be 25.80. 129 minus 25.80 is 123.20. This would be the sale price of the dress.
