Nobody knows anything factual about the mythical guru (whose name wasn't Jesus, either). People need pithy little phrases to get through their day, I guess. If you weren't raised with christian drivel, it would have to be Buddha, Allah/Mohammed, Zoroaster, Shiva, etc. it is a stupid saying, IMO. How about, What would create the most joy?

Because that would insinuate obedience and very few people want to do that.

Because we are only human and sometimes have to think for a moment of what Jesus would do, because we may not automatically do it. Were not perfect.

The whole point of that WWJD? trend *was* to inspire people to be more Christ-like. But I see that it failed.
