well you just let her do what she do because its a long road she is going down and will take you with her. they have to hit rock bottom before something can be down. she can get help but thats only if she wants the help.

I don't think there's any point in confronting her, as you put it. If she ever quits it will be because she wants to, not because she was pressured into it.

It's okay to be supportive, but she has to do this thing herself. No one else can do it for her.

From my experience the best way to adress a friend's substance abuse problem is to confront them in a non threatening enviornment. If her situation is severe enough that you think she may be in danger of getting hurt or ruining her life then I would suggest confronting her full on. If it is milder make sure not to be too commanding or critical of your friend or else she might feel attacked.

sit her down and tell her it's either the booze or yalls friendship and she will make the right choice.

She knows whats what... she's been to AA.... is there something troubling her? try to get through to her by staying close.... it's awaiting game where she will have to realize its the wrong path to take... I wish you and your friend Good Luck.

She is an adult and it's HER choice to drink. YOU can't help her. SHE has to want to help herself and going to an AA meeting obviously didn't work for her. Sometimes it takes a person reaching the bottom of the barrel and losing everything before they realize what their habit is costing them. An addict will always be an addict. A weak person becomes dependent on stimulants and that is how they choose to deal with things. Personally I would not go around her. If she values her friends, them starting to back away from her MIGHT make her change her direction and if not then so be it. Right now her alcohol is more important than any of you. SHE has to decide for herself.
