The ancient Celtic cross quarter festival of Imbolc (also celebrated as Ground Hog Day) is coming up in 2 weeks. Also called Brighid's Day or St Brighid's Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Bríde, Scottish Gaelic: Là Fhèill Brìghde.<br />
Imbolc is the beginning of spring. After Imbolc our days get rapidly longer, our days warmer, and we are transitioning from winter to summer. We can look forward to and begin preparing for summer.
The next winter solstice? Or the summer one? With such re-occuring natural phenomena as a source of inspiration, life must be a contstant exciting buzz of expectation! Each dawn and dusk must also provide a frisson on a daily basis. Wow ... happy man.
I try and look forward when I'm walking.... that way I avoid falling over stuff.... top tip or what!!
