A recently passed anticrime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed. In Texas.

Cool but I've got no notice, is this effective immediately?

Wait! This may serve a legitimate purpose. A criminal couldn't sue you for getting hurt while grossly violating your home if they hadn't given sufficient time to prepare through the required notice. Simple preparations, Industry standards, like: setting out some safety equipment and hard hats; removing any trip hazards, sharp edges, or loose nails; muzzling the alligators and taking down the rabid raccoons that land on your head; disarming any flame throwers or motion activated ricin showers; taking the keys out of the tank; putting the syphiltic Bavarian Vampire Frogs back in the aquarium; and returning the axe murderer to the asylum. After all, we are ALL responsible for safety.
