I have HP G42-360TX notebook with 1 GB Mobility Radeon HD 5850 installed. Since the driver comes with HP support is not compatible with my current operating system windows 7 -32 bits. I need to instal a new driver. However, my graphics card isn't listed in the mobility radeon series on the ATI site. I try to install the desktop version but it doesn't make any change whatsoever. please help on driver?!

Go to AMD’s website, click on Support and Drivers tab which is at the top right corner of the page. Choose Notebook Graphics>Radeon HD Series>Mobility Radeon HD 5xxx Series>Windows 7-32 Bit, and then click on View Results bar. Download the Catalyst Software Suite 11.7 which is the latest version. Remove any other legacy ATI graphics card driver completely before you run the installation of the Catalyst Software Suite 11.7. I also recommend you to download the user’s manual for installation instructions. If you have any further question, you should contact AMD’s technical support directly.

You have to get the driver from HP, BUT before you install it you need to uninstall the other driver since it's incorrect, I have enclosed the link for you

You can also have HP detect the driver for you, just to make sure you download the correct one
