Abortion/Pet/Overprotective?

I've had two abortions within 2 years. Now that i am 20, i adopted a ferret as a pet. Sometimes i think i adopted it almost in place of a baby and my bf thinks im a bit overprotected of it. But he's like a baby to me! Sometimes i think i am almost punishing myself like "i had an abortion so now i must take on a new big responsibility" Ive had it for a week and last night i had a dream that it ran away and i was hysterically crying. Finally i woke up, but could this have anything to do with my abortions? Am i replacing an unborn baby for a pet?

And to Slagathor: yes, the first time was careless, people make mistakes, and the second time, the condom broke. i do take birth control pills but had stopped because i was having negative effects from it and was waiting to be put on a new kind. Both abortions were with the same guy, the guy that i am still with, and have been for 5 years... maybe u shouldnt be so quick to judge.

If you don't want a baby, for heaven's sake, don't have one. A pet is an excellent child substitute!
