If you lived a very good life or a very bad life you might live forever in the memories of man. But for most of us we live on only as long as family and friends remember us.
I think tombstones and the like are just for this reason, a bit of immortality.
But as the song says.."dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind"

It is not bearing the name of religion that counts, what is important for each soul is his/her obedience or disobedience to the commands of God, such as Love, Justice, Forgiveness, Sacrifice, Patience.... weareone	Posted Oct 12th, 2009 at 11:38PM Before The Resurrection of Jesus, When a person died, it was though they were asleep until Judgement day. But with Jesus came a New Covenant and Resurrection. When he was to ascend into Heaven he brought the former followers of God out of their sleep(being in the grave) and and took them to Heaven with him. Rated: +1Vote for this!
