    I have all three.
The PS3 has some advantages, but it also is or was the most expensive system, so that's what I'd expect.

It' the only one able to play Bluray Discs and it also has a very nice upscaling algorithm going on, when playing DVDs in 1080p.

Free online playing is also a big argument. I think on Wii U it's free as well.

I like the PS3 controller, it's light and handy. The Wii U game pad is excellent for it's purposes as well. The Xbox360 controller is too bulky for my taste.

For independent game developers the Xbox360 is best, because with XNA it offers a free and somewhat easy way to develop games that also run on the console for a small fee. The other systems require expensive licenses for that matter.

For streaming videos from a PC to a console, to play the private video collection on the big screen, I recommend the PS3. There is some free software for PC out there that transcodes everything the PC can play on-the-fly into a format that the PS3 can play.

The only thing that really is a question of taste are the games, of course. Also each console offers differen interesting ways to interact. Be it with a touchscreen game pad, different motion tracking solutions, or just plain old controllers. In the end it all comes down to the games and how they make use of those technologies. Finally, the exclusive titles often decide which console we want, too.

Personally I used to prefer the PC, since mine is always superior to a gaming console. But the whole multi-platform releases -- scoring more money on a single title for the publishers and making it easier to develop for the studios -- kind of destroyed PC gaming, by leaving us poorly ported games, that were designed to be played on a console. Skyrim instantly comes to mind. It could have been so much better...

I have never played xbox360 but have been told by those who do that more gamers play on xbox360 so the quality of the online competition is better. I have also been told that Microsoft has dedicated servers for the most popular games and are pretty much impossible to hack.

The only disavantage of a PS3 is that they seem to bring out a better version of the PS3 every other month, with different software/hardware which can get annoying. The XBox 360 has hardly had any advancements as they a holding out for the Xbox 720.

yes it was very annoying because, after buying a ps3 and having for a year, another slim version came out, damn.

I have all 3, but I prefer PC.

Wii U is kind of boring, but I wanted it to have it incase something came out that I liked that was Wii U exclusive.

I hate PS3, it was the first of the 3 that I got and I thought it was amazing at first.

Xbox is my favorite system of them all. Reliable, and the service is amazing. I'd rather pay to have my account safe, and servers up at all times than not.

But above all the systems I absolutely love PC the most. I honestly don't see myself ever going back to console gaming again.

I think it's all a personal preference. I've been a PS fan ever since it came out. Hard to switch especially when I've heard that the XBox comes with the blue death screen and the the controllers are big and bulky. Wii? Just couldn't get into it.
