    GIRL:
    advantages: faster diaper changes
disadvantages: you will spend a small fortune on everything pink and pretty you see.

    BOY:
advantages: Boy clothes shopping is boring, you save money.
disadvantages: longer diaper changes (think about the area in question #2)

It will a huge advantage to have both. I always wanted to be a father and would not have looked for an advantage. It would have been a huge gift

I do not ever want children, period. But I've always thought if I had to have a little child in my life I would prefer a girl. The problem is I usually get along best with little boys because so many little girls are raised in a very strange way - like overly sheltered and treated like they are dumb, and baby talked to, only playing with dolls and princess stuff, etc. Boys are treated more normally IMO. But when someone treats their little girl like a real person I like being around them most times.

Sorry I kind of went off subject! I do agree w/ the others there are a lot more cute clothes for girls out there (and I'm not just talking about the pink frilly junk, either). Even being totally anti-motherhood, I almost died at the Harajuku Mini line by Gwen Stefani they had at Target ;-)

I also think it would be generally easier to relate to a girl when she is older, although most moms and preteen or teen girls I have known have a lot of drama in their relationship during that period. Ugh. I also think growing up without a male role model in the case of single moms, might be a TINY bit easier for a girl than a boy. But there again I can see different sides to that argument to, so who knows.

Thanks for sharing and you got me all curious as to why you have anti-motherhood views. Can you share?

I don't mean anti-motherhood for other people! Just for me :-) I have never, ever wanted to have kids. Not even for a minute. Being a mom does not interest me or appeal to me whatsoever and the older I get (I am 36) the less it does. I did write a story on EP about some of this as well as another about my abortion at age 35.
