    "The Uglies" by Scott Westerfeld and the rest of that series. There's a vampire series called the House of Night series it's by P.C. Cast and her daughter I think.

    I really liked "A simple plan". It's about a group of friends that find a private plane with a lot of money crashed (no survivors) in the woods. Instead of calling the police, they decide to take the money without telling anyone they were there. They try to devise a plan to keep it discrete, but obviously it doesn't turn out well.

    The Help was amazing. Lilith's Dream is good if you like vampire books that don't follow the stereotypical silly vampire genre like Twilight. Nora Roberts books are great too - she has some that are all romance but I avoid those and go for the ones with mysteries/crimes in them with romance thrown in.
