Advice on where to set my computer up:
I am wonting to go back to Cox all 3 services right now they have a special on I have a desktop computer I said put it in my bedroom but my furnite is big and I see now moving the dresser behind the bed is not going to work and that little space is not either be crammed done that before and shouldn't of.
The only other place I see is in the living room under the window I really do not like things like computers to be sitting out you walk into my living room when you come in my apartment I say get one of those screen things I had Cox before and I think you have to be near the cable jack for the modem for the internet so what would you do I see that bedroom idea I told my boyfriend is not going to work I so badly need a laptop.

Just be careful with how you can sit for extended periods of time (RSI)
Humidity (Never good for computers, dry and not too warm if possible, too cold for a computer is way past the point where you drop dead so no need to worry about cold)
Also for privacy reasons consider how you want your screen set up. I don't like it when people can walk past by and read open email or other things, I tap (windows key + L ) often enough to lock out (assuming you use windows) but you also need to be able to be active and not disturbed while typing things, which is easier when not having to worry about nosy people.
If you're going to get a laptop, make sure you list what you need from it, it's easy to buy more than you need, it's harder to add what you needed later. Always by slightly up the curve but never the newest if you want reliable and reasonably fair priced. Price comparison sites based on actual people (not company funded) can often be a good way to find out what you're getting yourself into. You can quickly save a lot of money with just an hour of snooping around for a good deal when it comes to buying a laptop.
For WiFi you should avoid interference (steel constructions in some windows and door frames or buildings) crossing sources at larger ranges also causes interference. And being greedy on the power supply for the router because you don't want to use electricity is a great way to end up having to sit on top of it with a laptop. If you're going to pump a lot of data through it with several users, consider that you need a stronger connection (Amp wise) ask an electrician about your usage if you're unsure. It can significantly increase performance and longevity.
The most important thing is quite simple.... you spend a ton of time behind a computer? Take a little time to make it comfortable. It pays for itself quite fast :)Like (1)

Yeah I agree on NOT wanting my PC to be the first thing someone sees when entering my apt . I can only think of you using long extension cables.
I have a problem with electrical outlets oh there is plenty but most are not able to accommodate modern appliances I mean being two prong instead of three . so I'm forced to keep my computer in the living room and not have any friends ...lolLike (1)
