Someone coming back from deployment isn't a foundation for getting married. If you want it to last then I suggest you WAIT and get to know each other again. War changes people and things need to be dealt with and diving into a marriage may cause even more stress so take time and let things happen naturally. I am Gulf War vet so I know what I'm suggesting is beneficial.

Nah, most people shouldn't get married until their at least 24 in my opinion. Even then, especially anyone in the military should never get married until they get out; I know of waaay too many examples of couples who marry while in military, as soon as the service member is out, they realize they can't stand each other; they never realize it before because the service member is gone so often it's easy to miss them when they're gone all the time.
