All Ladies: How come you guys don't wear dresses (or skirts) anymore? ... Read Details for more Information.
The older I get ... the more and more ladies are getting rid of their dresses and wearing trousers, shorts, and jeans more and more often. Back in the 70's and 80's ... about 40-50% of all ladies that I know wore dresses and/or skirts ... now days it's down to 10-20% ... barely.
Why?

we found out that wearing pants protects the V. same reason men wear pants i guess... harder to assault the privates.
i am actually a skirt-wearing woman but men are too busy fapping it to internet p0rn these days to notice. thanks for asking though, it waz asked in a polite way.Like (4)

I don't know what you're talking about. I wear a skirt everyday. I'm wearing one now. All my friends wear them too. It just depends on the girl I guess.

I agree. Although trousers are worn, I don't think its anything like 10% of the time or of women. In the last couple of years I have noticed something of a [welcome] return to dresses in particular. Skirts too. Men like women to be feminine & women like to be themselves which usually results in a nice dress...Like (1)

I wear them all the time, my wonderful fiancee insists that I always dress like a lady and never wear pants. He's an old fashioned in-charge kind of guy and I love being ladylike and totally feminine for him.

i like dresses or skirts but my question to you guys is that why do you always call us sassy and childish when we were them? they like dresses or skirts that are "short" as in "super super super short" (well at least the guys iv met so far)

A skirt/dress down to/over knee and a little leg showing is much, much more attractive than the revealing short stuff imo.Like (1)

I like to sit with my legs open. It's much more comfortable like that for me. And when wearing a dress/skirt you can't do that so much unless you want people to see your underwear sooo I prefer pants :)

well i actually like women wearing plain t-shirts and long slim fit pants/jeans it makes them look hot.. but still a lil info. the good ole fashion simple shirt and pants came during the 70s =D

On normal days when i'm travelling going to class, working and etc, i want to be comfortable. I dont want a wind to make my skirt fly all the way up to my waist showing everyone my undies. When i'm wearing a skirt or a dress i get really conscious and i cant sit comfortably. i always have to keep my legs crossed and i'm fixated on how much skin i'm showing. And then i have to wear shoes that make my legs look good when i have a skirt on. Its just to much of a fuss. Pants are easy wear them and forget them. Not many guys pay attention to me too when i have pants on, which i prefer then guys staring me down everywhere i go.
I do like dresses and skirts but they are usually reserved for summers, dates and events where i need to look all lady like.Like (1)

All kinds of clothing over time and over the sexes have been worn.
I know a guy who cross dresses and weirdly enough: it looks good on him.
Think 14th-16th century corsets and those awful long shorts that looked like popped balloons.
I like my traditional dressing for women. A long skirt with some gigantic scarf looking thingie on top. You feel like your legs are breathing.
However it's really unpractical because I like to stretch and get into weird positions when I'm on my bed or the computer...it attracts unwanted attention.
I love short shorts and short skirts though. They are so comfortable. I feel like my legs are free and I can "feel the breeze".
It's not because I think I look sexy 98% of the time, the other 2% is when I need to get into a club lol. They don't let you in with a long skirt unless it's very tight.Like (1)

Just like guys, it more comfortable. Especially in schools, we found it better to move around without worry.

I wear dresses quite often - tailored skirts and jacket for work, dresses when we go somewhere and sometimes, like now, whent it is nice outside I throw on a little cotton summer dress for at home... BUT jeans and a tee are my most comfy clothes.

I like to dress up in a dress when we go out someplace fancy, a fine restaurant, a wedding reception, a cocktail party, a gallery opening -- the basic black cocktail dress kind of thing -- the kind of thing I call "dressing like grown-ups."
Other than that, I much prefer not wearing a dress. In cooler weather I prefer jeans; in the summer I prefer shorts. I can dress up when needed. I know how to dress properly for the occasion, but if dress-up is not needed for the occasion, then I am in jeans.
I work from home much of the time, but when I go to the office it is usually "business casual" -- which means a quality pair of slacks, a good blouse (yes, with bra, damnit) and a blazer. If more formal business meetings are being held, then I would likely wear a women's business suit (somber colors, I am not Hilary Clinton).Like (1)

this is a good question. if you were to ask me personally this question I would say well unless I get a fake tan my legs look like they belong to a vampire! But i agree womanly legs are beautiful and all the media and tv adverts stop women from getting their legs out and this is wrong embrase womanly legs!
