Depending on the lightining in the room, I'm quite young! But no, I didn't. In Current Events, though, we were told that by now we'd be in flying bubble cars. Which is guess can be true if you can get your Smart Car going fast enough!
computers to me used "punch cards" and in college I used typewriters and the library for research, if only I could have used a computer, printer, and the internet for research . . . never envisioned such an advance in technology when those room-sized computers were converted into PCs.
i taught myself over the years but got the internet only like 10 months ago
Not when I was a child. But I made my living with computers since 1982.
Growing up on science-fiction I was hoping for a lot more by this time
Not THAT much more---but major space stations, non-polluting power, base on the moon, etc.
When I started work in the 70's the computer filled one climate controlled floor and had less computing power than a phone has now.
