The move was incredibly stupid, so I'd imagine the book is just about as ******* stupid.

Basically it's about what rape would be like if you were on acid.

Excellent movie, and excellent book, but I just don't see you enjoying either of them. And no, you're not a terrible person for not having read it.

read it when I was a youth. i had an issue from over seas that had the original last chapter, because in America you could not get it with the final chapter they just ended it at the end of the second to last chapter (just like the movie) which still makes me wonder because either i didn't get the meaning of the final chapter (he is a year older and starting a new group) or the people who decided to leave out the final chapter are a bunch of dumb *****, which of course is what i always believed. reading is for chumps all knowledge should be passed on by electronic osmosis.

No Bianca, I've TRIED to watch that movie a few times and I just don't like it. I get 'bagged' because it's meant to be an iconic movie - too bad, I must be a cretin, because I certainly won't read it if I can't stand the movie.

See the movie instead. It's over in only about 100 minutes -- the book takes much longer to read.

That's your problem; no one else's. In that case, the answer to your question is "Yes", for having not read CWO.

I once saw a little of it on the cable when we had it.It was a bad scene,so I turned it off.I don't know if reading it might be better than watching it.It could be.
