I don't french kiss my kids, but yeah I smooch on the lips. I always have. In my opinion, if you look at that in a sexual context then I don't know what that says about you.

Nah. It's innocent. Not everything has to be sexualized.

I have a granddaughter and my husband and I have always kissed her on the lips...... never thought any thing about it and never will --she is 4 years old and when she decides it is time to stop giving kisses on the lips then we will too, but until then it is 100% innocent and done with love from the heart.

I don't see anything wrong with it, I kiss my young kids on the lips with a quick peck but I'm not giving them a tonsillectomy in the process. They are your flesh and blood, why would you find that discomforting?

I feel the same way. I kissed my baby all over his forehead and on the checks and made "raspberries" on his belly, but never kissed him on the lips. That feels like something that ought to be reserved for my SO.

I see nothing wierd about it unless its passionate a peck is ok. And some kids will let u know when to stop. All my sons at a certain age did that yukky kiss wipe thingy wether I kissed them on the cheek or lips. hee hee

I kiss my younger one on the lips, or rather he kisses me. It is naturally not sexual in any way, but an expression of thenderness and intimacy. Actually, I can say I am much more intimate and thender with my children, than I am with my wife wit whom we have some sort of sexual relation. I love their smell and tach of ther skin and their embrace and the test of their sweat, when I am kissing their temles (We live in warm climate, so there is much sweating much of the time)

I'm with you--that's not right. There is no reason for it--why it MUST be on the lips instead of the face, and it could confuse the child IMO.
