I define sweet as kind and cute as youthfully attractive.

sweet is when you have personality to go with the cuteness and cute is you're just cute. Obviuosly if someone you do not know tells you you're cute it does not mean you are not sweet it is just they do not know you to say you're sweet.

Sweet as someone who may do something endearing or is endearing! Cute is an action or appearance that looks like "Awwwwww!"

Sweet means that you are good to other people in an innocent way.
Cute means that you are good to yourself in an innocent way.
