Resolved Question

Another meditation?

My husband was telling me about, pronounced, Vye Pasana, meditation. It sounds like it is objectively watching the chain reaction of thoughts, and I said, wait, isn't that just like writing?? I don't understand how you would do it?
Does anyone practise this kind? He has only taught me the nothingness kind where you focus on a black dot til there is nothingness and you don't notice anything, like beign unconscious but awake. The other kind I know is my favorite, in wicca groups, guided mediation. I kind of like chakra meditation but only did it once.
what can you tell me about these kinds of meditation? what should I do? what si teh best kind? my husband says nothingness, but it is not very fun---I prefer picturing things.
tell me?

There are many forms of meditation, but the nature is only one. Our soul is like a mirror, when we turn it to the earth, it reflects earthly things; when we turn it to heaven, it reflects heavenly blessings. You may ask yourself various questions about love, when getting some bright answers, you put them into practice. The results will encourage you on this interesting journey. The meditative rituals bring no results, and hence they are a big waste of time.

I'd say it all depends on what you want to achieve from the meditation. Nothingness meditation can be great if you are trying to calm your mind. Try starting with Nothingness then thinking of something, like a question, then follow that throgh to conclusion. I've heard of another where you concentrate on a word or phrase kinda like Nothingness but not quite

can you go to the listening part of your mind - as if you where at an important lecture, concert - or somesuch . . . then watch - as if it where the performers on stage - your thoughts - the images, concepts, memories and ideas that will inevitably flood your mind -

any judgements or analysis of these thoughts go's right back on stage.

the intent is not emptyness - though it can led to that - but an understanding of how your mind works.

that's how I learned it - but there as many different ways as there are people.

do what you like doing - there is a reason why you like it.
