Any ideas for being a caring Dom 'from afar'..?

to explain - being a male dom is about trust. I have a sub but we are together rarely due to distance. I txt 'instructions' and it works for both of us. I just wondered ( as i'm on my own with this!) if others have had similar- and share any ideas of what 'tasks' they get their subs to do?
