I've known several ppl who held an education degree who pursued other career fields for employment. One is branch manager for Wachovia; another is a GM for a medical lab; another is DM for StarBucks. Good luck!
When my daughter decided that, she went back and picked up a MA in planning and that got her a state job with the State of Arizona. Then she got another MA in Geographical Information Systems which got her a job in Alaska that she loves.
Alsdo, the Federal Government hires a lot of people, and often only cares that you have a degree, not what it is in.
