All my children have been in NJROTC.

It is not a pushover class, it is a leadership class.

It can be a lot of fun and all the cadets tend to socialize more with each other than in other classes. Because you wear the uniform once a week, you immediately recognize other ROTC from ROTC classes other than your own.

They also have great field trips, AWESOME scholorships available (including non-military ones), and in some school districts if you take NJROTC for 4 years it counts as a replacement for senior class Social Studies.

Do they sleep there?
i heard if you go to get ranked to e-3? is that true

No..it is one class period in your day. But they do have weekend activities...half day/once per month usually. If you have two years of NJROTC and then join the Navy you can move up a rank in boot camp. IDK about the E3 if you have more than 2 years....ask the NJROTC officer..he/she will know.

I'm in NJROTC, going on my third year. Yes, at most, you can get promoted up to an E-3 if you have at least 3-4 years of NJROTC. Unless you join the Marine Corps, I heard that they don't do that and everyone starts from bottom up no matter what.
It's definitely not a pushover class and we do learn a lot, but it gets repetitive since everyone is in the same class, first years, seconds, thirds, and fourths. So you're basically learning the same things each year as more freshmen join. -____-
I don't really understand you question though... Sorry.
