I use whey protein powder right before & after working out. The affects are that your muscles receive timely protein when they need it the most. Basically, the branch-chain amino acids optimize your muscle growth but you have to work out. If you don't the calories will turn into fat just like everything else.

it came out the same way it went in. liquid. i used it as a quick breakfast replacement solution, for which it was pretty effective. i didn't get hungry again until hours later.
