Yes.
I used to be a cynic, but I've managed to become a realist/optimist instead. I still get really depressed sometimes, but I'm working through it, and it's not nearly as daunting as it was before.
Go for it.

Yes I did.
But it depends a little bit on what you mean. What kind of succes.
I had succes in feeling more positive when doing positive visualizations. Which brings a stronger and a more balanced way of looking at life and thus acting in a stronger and more balanced way.

Yes, especially if I do it right before I go to sleep, about the strength or courage or energy I may need for events the following day.

I can only visualise with my eyes open. Weird.

But when i try to get to sleep and i feel unsettled or scared, i get nightmares as i am falling off to sleep i visualise sunny beach, with palm trees, and beautiful green sea, always works.

Every time.
Positive verbalization too.
Constant low-level sorcery.

This "new age" thinking is evil IMO. A "new" way of thinking, a "new way"?

Many roads lead to destruction, but only ONE road leads to everlasting life.

Actual biblical quote:

"Enter through the narrow gate.
For wide is the gate and broad is the
road that leads to destruction, and many
enter through it. But small is the gate
and narrow the road that leads to life,
and only a few find it" (Matthew 7:13,14).

Just another road added to the broad road of destruction (or hell).

My job requires me to get through some of the most horrifying visuals humanly visible. But sadly I'd say what I use is more in the lines of denial than positive visualization. Instead of thinking of something positive I think of nothingness. This has gotten me through a lot of situations that I really might not want to remember :).

Sure, except that we must make clear about the concept of success. We sometimes see success as failure, and failure as success, success in the values of our society or success in universal values, success immediately or success at our last breath.
