Any tricks for getting out of jury duty, that won't end with you wearing the cuffs?

I think a shabby appearance and food stuck in my beard would do the trick.

I dressed scruffily during the selection process in the actual court room were the accused were sat, the barrister looked me over then told me to sit in their legal terms then I was excused by the judges clerk because I had a start date for my new job. You could say you've a new job.

Tell them you are extremely racist. They will let you off. My lawyer friend told me this before. he says its guaranteed to work.

Just tell them that you have some relevant bias. There's no way for them to conclusively prove you're lying.
