Nope. The Sunbeam Tiger could outperform most muscle cars.
But then, during that period, almost any import sports car could outperform any muscle car on a road course.
American cars are made to go straight or round and round in an oval. Why do you think automatic transmissions are so popular in America? Americans only learn to steer, they don't learn how to drive.

You are so wrong....You also shoud define beat?...What top speed?...Power? Torque?.........Build quality? But i do have to ask.....How do Americans get so little power and torque out of such big engines?

Yes. Any Corvette from start of the line (doesn't count in your question) thru and including 1969.
Perfect specimens.
Especially the 1963 split window and its corresponding convertible.
