Yes, it helps if you stick to it. You have to do it for a rather prolonged period. It's like learning life skills, practice.

I have done cognitive therapy several times, always years apart. Each time I learn more about changing my behavior.
When I find myself slipping back to old behaviors and feelings CBT is one of the things I fall back on. I always learn new things about me - good and bad.
AND IT'S NOT ABOUT CHANGING FOR OTHER PEOPLE - IT'S ABOUT YOU!!!

I've lived with depression and post traumatic stress disorder since I was a kid.

I went for CBT for my depression and anxiety (panic attacks). It did not do anything for me. I feel that when anxious or in a very low mood the tapping is the last thing you think of or wish to do. So no, I did not feel that it helped. It was an expensive therapy. With nothing at the end for me.

I have and I loved it and it really helped - it is a lot of hard work - but once you apply yourself and commit to it then you can learn a lot and it can help you in all areas of your life. I think that everyone would benefit from the treatment!!

Yes and it works if you apply yourself and keep at it. It can all be a little exhausting when you are first trying to change and improve, but it will be worth it.
