maybe that something wild or exciting maybe even dangerous is coming but can easily be dealt with
What was your emotional state after waking? Were you tired/drained? Or something else?
In that case this is how I read it: You are feeling threatened in what was once your most secure place... the world presses [dangerously? mindlessly?] toward your inner self and while you are able to endure it for now (put out the fire), the threat will likely require a choice to resolve because enduring it is draining you.
