I can't say that I have had any bad experiences but I have met a bunch of losers. Easy to sort them out quickly though and their intentions are not well concealed in most cases.

People can tell you anything they want on the internet. People with money dont brag about it. If they agree with everything you say and do beware. I met a guy through a chat room that was a clown short of a circus. Luckily he sounded too perfect which made me distrust him. Turns out he was a serial rapist . Yuk!

I was on a political forum a few years back that got so ugly that it was taken down. The people on that place were truly rancorous. They really could not debate in a civil fashion whatsoever. So, while I was disgusted with most of the people on that site, I did actually make 2 friends on that site, one of whom I met in real life. I actually got to go to his wedding. So on the internet, you literally have to take the good with the bad.
