    practice, then practice some more... then when you're done practicing, go ahead and practice some more. Draw people in the subway, on the streets, in restaurants. Sketch images from the computer or magazines and then practice some more.

    Start with finding basic shapes, the squares and circles of the figure. ANd lightly sketch where they should be, then add slight angles and definition that build on those shapes. Save details for last, like wrinkles and eyes.

    When drawing a character's face, use your thumb as your guide. His/Her face should not be longer than the side of your thumb. (Side being the fleshy part of it, near your fingertip)
