Yes, you've had a really tough run. Keep going. You can have a great future. You can get through this and learn how strong you are, even if you don't feel like it right now.

Not really, you could always ditch that girl if you wanted to, at least you're not a guy who's settled into being unhappily married or a divorcee. Then there's a whole string of worse things, that are actually quite common, like being hospitalised for 15 years or losing your limbs and of course a lot people from all different backgrounds commit suicide. A lot of people have completely dysfunctional families too. Basically, don't think it's too bad... my situation is somewhat similar by the way.
