Are guys really forgetfull?

....or is it just used as an excuse when they cant be bothered to remember?

Everbody is different. I forget things all the time but my husband remembers most stuff. I just have a little too much on my mind most of the time. My ex used to remember Birthdays and such but he was an abusive ***. My husband now is a doll and if he forgets something, I don't care because he treats me like a Goddess every day of the year.

mewlkitten	Posted Jun 3rd, 2009 at 10:02PM It depends on the person. Some people really do have trouble committing things to memory... expecially short term memory. If he get's checked out for memory problems and is fine then it is possible that he doesn't care about you or your problems, or is not committed in the relationship and is using it as an excuse. Another possibility could be if he is stressed out or depressed, if he is then it is very hard to remember things, or do small things anyway, and he should get some help if the stress or depression is at that level. bedouin	Posted Jun 3rd, 2009 at 8:06PM Men have a thinner corpus collosum (think thin membrane connecting both hemispheres in their brain) and they prioritize their thinking more than women.....If its a roundabout relationship question; face it, he's just not that INTO you...? If the thing is important to the guy HE remembers....like all the NFL players of his favorite team... but birthdays, anniversaries, relatives first names, errrr uhhh.....say what???? allofus	Posted Jun 3rd, 2009 at 9:34PM traditionally dates and numbers are not a guys forta unless it is connected to something he interacts with on a regular occasion like sports. Calendar dates are once a year and most guys are not even sure what day it is let alone what happened on that date several years ago. It just does not click. Men like things simple, uncomplicated, so if it doesn't sound important to them---- keyword eg. baseball tickets, BJ, doritos, Harley Davidson....... they will automatically tune you out. hehe Rated: +1Vote for this!
